Hot stamping

Hot stamping is a process where an image is transferred from a matrix to a product with high pressure and high temperature. Hot stamping is often used on leather, artificial leather, cardboard and plastics. Hot stamping can by used dry - then matrix is stamped on a material or with a foil that is so called "colour stamping" - most frequently in gold or silver colour. Matrix is included in the prepress price.
